Greetings All,

It is hard to believe August is right around the corner and school will resume in just a few short weeks. I am not sure where the time has gone, but summer is quickly slipping away. Personal calendars quickly fill up with events and activities, which only makes the days and weeks seem shorter. Our activity staff, Amy Norton and Cindy Howland, do a wonderful job to ensure the residents and tenants have a calendar filled with fun and interesting events. We are always looking for volunteers that would love to share their talents with the facility. If you have a skill, whether you are gifted with a beautiful singing voice, can read a book, are a card shark, or have another talent to share, contact Amy or Cindy for volunteer opportunities.

Speaking of talents, the facility has been fortunate to have Chef Kevin come from Cedar Rapids to share his love of cooking. Every month Chef Kevin prepares the breakfast hosted by the Cresco Assisted Living. The community is welcome to attend and for a minimal fee you can enjoy a breakfast made to order. Not only does Chef Kevin cook the monthly breakfast, he also offers a cooking demonstration that involves a theme or seasonal ingredients. The best part… it includes taste testing! If you would like to join us for the monthly breakfast or cooking demonstration Chef Kevin will be in the facility on August 2nd.
