Cresco Assisted Living
We sure had a BUSY December! All the hype and preparations for the holidays are here and gone. We had LOTS of musical entertainment. We had Tim “The Music Man”, Casey and the Good Timers Band, Greenleafton Trio, Notre Dame 2nd graders, Holy Trinity Catholic School, Rick and Karen Nance, Boy Scouts, Protivin Carolers, Immanuel Lutheran Church and Howard County Hospice. We truly enjoyed them all!!!
We spent a lot of time decorating the trees, halls, doors and cookies , of course!
Chef Kevin prepared a Special Holiday Meal for the tenants on the 18th. They had shrimp & steak with all the fixins’. It was delicious!
We had our “Jolly Holiday” Open House on Friday, Dec. 20th. Refreshments were served. It was well attended by our families and friends.
We had our tenant’s Christmas party on the 23th with a special visit from Santa Claus. We all got gifts so we must have been good.
We had our delicious Christmas Dinner and ended the month with our New Year’s Eve party!!
The weather has been unbelievable mild that we can’t even think of a cold, snowy, long month of January. So, I have some activities planned to beat the winter duldrums. We will be making bird feeders again to feed our feathered friends. Since it is Snowman Month we’ll be doing snowmen, snowflakes and snow, in general.
We want to introduce our new director. She is Stephanie Klimesh from Calmar, Ia. She is married and has a 2 year old daughter and is expecting in June. I will highlight more next month. Welcome, Stephanie!!!!
As always, stop in anytime for any activity or perhaps a hot cup of coffee and a cookie.
If you have any craft items you want to get off your hands, please feel free to drop them off anytime. We can surely use them. Other donations are welcomed as well. Thank you from the activity department!!!!!
That’s all for now. Stay safe and stay warm!
