Just like that in a blink of an eye the new year is upon us.  Its funny how time can fly by so quickly.  Last month we had so much fun during the holiday season.  With lots of Christmas carols and music, many fun holiday games and of course many holiday traditions of baking and snacking on yummy treats. We can’t forget the wonderful visit from our favorite jolly friend Mr. Clause.  The magic and excitement that Christmas brings can’t help but warm our hearts. Residents enjoyed their Christmas Party.  Santa was very kind and residents each had special gifts to unwrap, we sang along with Cathy Hoffert to Christmas  Carols and enjoyed some holiday punch with a platter of  meats and cheese to snack on.  This month brings us just as much to enjoy with hopes of some of that nice white snow that so Beautifully blankets our streets.  We will be celebrating some fun days like the “Festival of Sleep Day “where we will have fun wearing our comfy PJ’s all day.  Also celebrating the “King” Elvis Presley’s Birthday with music from Brian Lewis and a day of baking one of Elvis’s favorite desserts “Monkey Bread” We will also have some fun with snow this month as of course we are still in the midst of Wonderful Winter.  We will have a sensory activity with creating fake snow and building snowmen and snow women. Also stay tuned for pictures of our “Tallest Snowman Challenge” with teams made up of residents and staff together. In honor of National “Fun at Workday” Instead of exercises that morning why not a fun indoor snow balloon fight, and some minute to win it games with staff included.  Once again, we thank you for your continued support and we hope all have a blessed, safe, and healthy New Year.

Always, Danielle Aguirre
