Marching into Spring

Hard to believe that we are so much closer to SPRING, with only a few more weeks left of winter we are Marching right into Spring with a calendar full of many fun days to celebrate.   With a huge shout out to all our staff here, March 4th is Employee Appreciation Day, March 19th is Certified Nurses Day we thank them for all they do and all their dedication to keeping our residents safe and healthy.  Our staff shine everyday of the year we greatly appreciate all their hard work and the wonderful care they give!  We celebrate International Women’s Day this March as well with Mrs. Sheila Craig as she shares with us her program of “Remembering the Apron” This month is full of special days we have some fun friends scheduled to visit us, Jed Becker will be here on National Bagpipe Day and for Agriculture Day we have a special visit from our Pot Belly Pig Friends.  This is also National Forest month and I have planned a day of Forest Fun with a “Lumber Jack” Put on those flannels and let’s go marching through the woods.  Residents and staff will have their chance at Axe throwing, we will go on an animal track hunt throughout the facility and a fun Forest themed Bingo game with treats to enjoy.  Let’s hope we can March right into some warmer Spring weather soon.

Always,

Danielle Aguirre Recreation Director
