The History of
Evans Senior Living Community
For more than 60 years, Evans Senior Living Community has been a trusted part of the Cresco community, providing compassionate, quality care to older adults.
Originally established in 1963 through the generosity of Dave Evans, a lifelong Cresco resident, the home was built on his vision of caring for others and supported by countless community members and volunteers.
Over the decades, Evans Senior Living Community has grown to meet the evolving needs of older adults:
- Independent Living Condos were added between 1983 and 1993, giving residents freedom with peace of mind.
- Evans Assisted Living opened in 2005, with an expansion in 2016 to meet growing demand.
- In 2025 Evans opened its doors to Memory Support Assisted Living, ensuring those with memory care needs can remain close to home.
In 2023, Evans Memorial Home rebranded to Evans Senior Living Community to better refl ect the wide range of lifestyle options and services available on campus. While the name has evolved, our mission remains the same — to provide the kind, compassionate care our residents deserve, right here in the community they call home.
As a community-owned, non-profit organization, Evans Senior Living Community offers peace of mind to residents and families by allowing individuals to age in place with increasing levels of support as their needs change.
